Give Ozarks 24-hour online giving day to benefit children with special needs
Dignity Now, Inc.is participating in Give Ozarks, a 24-hour online fundraising marathon taking place on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 to fund services for children with developmental disabilities like Autism, cerebral palsy or Down’s Syndrome in Taney County.
About 200 Ozarks nonprofit agencies are participating in this event to raise both money and awareness of philanthropy in our region. Dignity Now will raise funds for camp scholarships, respite care, music therapy and other children’s services that currently have wait lists.
You can support Dignity Now’s efforts by making a secure donation at giveozarks.org/2016/dignity-now anytime from midnight to midnight on May 3, 2016. All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS and we welcome gifts of any amount.
“This year is very exciting for us. To help us reach our goal of raising $10,000, we have worked to secure support from a number of area businesses and residents in the form of match gifts,” said LaDella Thomas, Director of Marketing and Resource Development. “So your donation, however big or small could be doubled on May 3.”
Give Ozarks is one of dozens of crowdsourced nonprofit online fundraising marathons being hosted by community foundations across the nation on May 3, which is Give Local America Day.
Dignity Now Inc. is an Agency Partner with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, which is hosting Give Ozarks along with presenting sponsor BKD Wealth Advisors; platinum sponsors, The Musgrave Foundation, The Commerce Trust Co./Coover Charitable Foundation and Ron and Janice Penney; and numerous other sponsors.

Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. #GivingTuesday has become a day that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy during the holidays.
#GivingTuesday relies on the generosity of people in our community to bring about tangible change. It encourages those simple, small acts of kindness.
This year, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Dignity Now Inc. and Developmental Connections are participating in #GivingTuesday.
We invite you to join the movement and to help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 this December 1. Some ideas include:
